We started the evening off with a Rockies game against the Pirates. Totally mellow, few beers, few jewish hotdogs, we even got to witness an in the park home run.
After the game, we hit up a bar downtown. To our surprise, they had $2 Jager Bombs all night long! On a Friday night, who does that? I like neither Jager nor bombs, but for $2 each, keep em coming!
Everyone knows alcohol and politics don't mix.
After numerous drinks, we all headed back to Josh's house for a little RockBand night cap. As Chris called it a night, we rocked the night away.
Yes, we are horrible at updating our blog. Yes, it will probably be awhile before we post again. But rest assured that when we do post, it will be good!
I celebrated my 27th birthday with 2 exams on the cardiovascular system. I know you are probably telling yourself you wish you could take exams on your birthday, but let me tell you it is sooo not what it's cracked up to be.
The Saturday following my birthday, we had a BBQ with a 32 foot 3 laned slip n slide. Yes folks you heard me right, I said slip n slide! We ate, drank and slid our way to victory! Enjoy the pics and videos.
My good friend Laura visited Chris and I in March. To welcome her to Colorado, we took her skiing/snowboarding at Keystone and Breckenridge. We had a BBQ on Saturday to introduce her to our new friends and Sunday we visted Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Enjoy the pictures!
In Karate, you start out as a white belt. Over time you graduate to yellow, orange, green, blue, brown and eventually you become Jackie Chan status and are awarded a black belt.
Unfortunately, learning to ski does not have as many levels of progression as karate. Beginners start out on Green runs, intermediates ski on Blue runs, and obsessed crazies (like my husband) ski on Black runs. You may think Black runs are the steepest. But, Black and Blue can be equally steep. The number of moguls on a run determines if its Black or Blue.
All season I have been on green runs at Vail, Keystone and Breckenridge. At the beginning of April, Chris' friend Cliff stayed with us for a few days.
We went up to Keystone and towards the end of the day I dared to try my first Blue run. This mountain not look steep on video, but as Jesus (pronounced Hey-Suess) Christo as my witness, it was very scary. To get an idea of exactly how steep the mountain is, take a look at where I start. Notice the angle where Chris is filming and notice where I end up. Yes, steep.
For shits and giggles, I threw in a video of Chris bailing. After that is a video of Chris jumping a little cliff and skiing right into me, smash!! If you listen closely, you can hear people around us laughing at our situation. Enjoy!!
As I was driving home for my lunch break, a fellow Volvo driver did not see nor hear the lights or sirens of a gigantic fire truck heading in his direction. I say fellow Volvo driver because unbeknownst to Chris, I intend on buying a Volvo wagon once we have a few little ones. Mind you, it will be awhile before these hips birth a few little ones, but you will not see this Mexican in a mini-van. Back to the story at hand, the driver of the Volvo smashed into the corner of the fire truck. Everyone knows to steer clear of anything that has sirens, but this yahoo either had his music too loud or like many Americans these days was preoccupied by his cell phone. Without even looking up, he slammed (t-boned the front) of a fire truck. I continued on to my house and had lunch and about 45 mins later as I was heading home, this accident had not cleared. It was at the intersection that leads into my housing tract and so I got to drive by slowly while capturing these.
We went skiing on Sunday and it was Adelita's 1st day on skis. Here is a video and a pic of that. She did really good for her 1st time. Im proud! I like how she hold the poles
Happy Valentine's Day!! With the both of us working today until 5 pm and then anatomy and physiology for me until 10pm, Chris and I will be doing Valentine's dinner tomorrow night. We hope you all are able to spend time with the ones that you love.
If you don't have anything planned for your significant other, start the fireplace, pour a glass of wine, and watch the following video (click link below) while cuddling with your loved one. Watching Chris break dance always gets me in the mood =).
